Looking for NM24

Edit: Now it's been read, I've opted to remove this post again as it became apparent I was re-posting something that had been removed previously for a specific reason.

Haha, yeah, it's an option. I already used a grey Posca pen to temporarily tone them down from *Donny Osmond's Teeth* to *Dear old Granny's ashes*, but it's actually the entire aesthetic that's wrong, so blacking them until I can flip them is not a bad shout at all. The rear tires are meant to be a ...

I don't know who suggested painting white rings on the rear tires but it sure wasn't me... It's a horrible idea anyway, but it also overlooks the fact that I like the rear tyres, its the white rings on the front that I don't like. But you are absolutely right about directional tires, It doesn't matt...

Quick question about downloading...

Thanks for your thoughts.

I'm still interested in knowing if it's possible, if anyone has any suggestions.

Quick question about downloading...

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knew of any way to download the entire contents of a topic thread on here. I'm not talking about one page... I'm talking about downloading, in a single action or a few actions, the entire topic thread even if it's hundreds of pages long, onto a hard drive. Thanks ...

Jim's right. The court can rule in your favour, but the cost and responsibility of recovering your outlay is not managed for you by the court procedure... that is yours to manage and organise, and then you get into the world of dealing with debt collectors, and they want paying one way or the other....

It doesn't matter that they're directional if you re-fit the (current) right on the left and the (current) left on the right. As long as the sipes point the right way and they have a symmetrical tread pattern, you're good to go - they'll be facing in the right direction. You just can't reverse the t...

Restoration of 1965 Elan S2

I have to say this text on their website is a bit of a worry. It's under their 'Engine rebuilds" tab... === Engine Rebuilds ....we will strip the engine, carefully removing all ancilliary parts, removing the engine from the car if required in order to gain better access.... === is there any other wa...

Restoration of 1965 Elan S2

Sorry to hear about this. It reminds me of a similar situation I had with a classic car expert in Sussex. I paid a lot of money for cylinder head work and new carbs fitted and then found problems shortly afterwards. At the time, my personal circumstances meant it was the better decision for my menta...

Yeah sure Phillip. I'll PM you some quick snapshots. Not great pics and the tires are very grubby from fitting, but it might give you a vague idea. They (the white rings) are from North Hants Tyres and are 195/70r14 Galaxy 24mm whitewall one side, plain the other side. Most importantly though they a...

Personal records update. New tyres fitted this morning. The good news: Car feels so much smoother. It's made a huge difference getting those cheapo van tires off. Front tires no longer clip the wings on sharp turns. Rear Hercules tyres look absolutely brilliant. Haters gonna hate, but this car is mo...

Cheers fellas. Not exactly back, I just like to keep a record of the car's maintenance/repair in one place. Started here, so I continue to add any info here.

Hope you're both well.

Merry Christmas Scimitar owners and appreciators!

Maintenance update for my records: New "Gold-Flo" Facet fuel pump fitted (after mine crapped out on Sunday on Brighton's busiest street, thanks Obama) New fuel line from tank to carb, new inline filter. New brake shoes and brake cylinders fitted rear. New brake fluid, obvs. Brakes checked generally....
