Cologne engine 'running on'

My SE6a will run on sometimes when switching off, but it only seems to happen on regular unleaded, on super unleaded it doesn't do it!

GTC for sale by auction - 20 November - 1pm.

Hi, This was my car until January 2016 - I sold it to a delightful chap called Mike, from the Leeds area. So it's a shame to see that it's now for sale "from a deceased estate". I did a fair bit of work on it during my (fairly brief) ownership and it was going well when I sold it - the paintwork wa...

Headlight question?....

Looked at the sidelight today and realised that the rear passenger light was out too, so it was a blown fuse!

Then the driver's side and rear went out too! :? ....Cleaned and pinched the fuse contacts together and all are now working! :D

Headlight question?....

Left hand outer is on main beam, never on dipped. Right hand lights work as normal. I will have to check what happens when I flash the lights...I was on my own today, so couldn't see what happens from the front of the car, just that the lights were flashing against the back wall of the garage, so I ...

Headlight question?....

Now got a problem with the passenger side outer light! When on dipped beam the passenger side outer light is on main beam all of the time! :? All lights come on when on main beam as normal, but left hand light stays on full beam when it should be on dipped as well! I've been fitting a replacement bo...

Car Transportation

You can hire a low loader for the day for a reasonable price and collect the car yourself!

It's something I've looked into in the past.

SE6a Brake Master cylinder?....

Hi
Are brake master cylinders still available for the SE6a?

I am having to top up the reservoir on a regular basis and suspect that the master cylinder is leaking, possibly into the servo.

Is it possible to change the master cylinder without having to bleed the whole system?

Cheers,

Jez

Would you buy a Scimitar with Webasto sliding sunroof?

My ideal Scimitar would have a folding sunroof!...The manager of the first company I worked for in the early 1980s had a green over tan Scimitar with the folding sunroof....Local vandals did slash it though and we had to patch it up with gaffer tape for him! :( My current car has a pop up 1980s glas...

Headlight question?....

No dip relays, it all comes from the dip/main stalk. If one is working then it is going to be from fuse box onwards. It is more than likely that you have just disturbed a corroded or loose bullet connector behind the lamp. Take the spare wheel out and have a good look at the loom behind the nose. I...
