Hi Jim, My name is Stephanie and I would like to give you some Information of my scimitar and maybe you can help me as well. I bought my SE5a in April 2015 near Birmingham and drove it to Germany. Since there I am restoring it completly and nearly original. The Frame needed to be welded and so on......

There should also be a reinforcement tube that runs down the screen pillars (not connected to the roll tubes); while you are doing this work it would be worth checking them too as they also rust. Ok. Hi great work there I removed the full roll bar from my se5 due to corrosion ,On mine a lot of the rust was hidden so glad its now out of the car I cut it in the middle as i found it impossible to remove in one,i kept the old one which will be used as a template Quite a bit of fibre glass is bonded...

I would think you would have to remove it from inside the car and I think it will come out in one piece but you will find that the roll bar only rusts at the bottom so really there is no need to remove it. As you are taking the body off you can re-new the bar from the bottom up to the extent of the...
