Road tax

I'd hazard a guess at about £220 for the year. Probably a bit more.

Window rubber and insert.

Yes, the plastic filler that is shown to the right is NOT the correct one for this rubber. The correct one is the flat metal filler and fits in the flat gap shown at the top of the rubber, as "Old and Slow" has mentioned.

SE6A Power Steering High Pressure Pipe

Just had a look in my garage and it isn't there, so I must have passed it on to Tom (demonbluedays) Williams when I sold the car to him. Sorry. As far as getting yours repaired it's probably the short length that's stopping your local guy doing it.

SE6A Power Steering High Pressure Pipe

I had the high pressure pipe repaired on my SE6 by a local hydraulic engineer who is no longer there but it can be done if they have the correct size crimp machine. They had to make mine longer than the original as their machine wouldn't take a short pipe. I think I may have a new one in my garage t...

My son's Astra diesel failed the MOT last year on emissions and the MOT guy asked if I had put any additive in the fuel before the test, my answer was no. He suggested I put a fuel system cleaner in and change the filter, then run it for a couple of miles at high revs and take it back for an MOT. It...

Auto gear box oil cooler se5a

As a temporary fix until you can get something sorted, why not try some JB Weld, it should fix the leak and last for a long time. I did the bottom of the petrol tank on my Mercedes 230 TE back in 2003 and was still running it in 2008 with no problem.

3 rail gearbox.

I posted quite a long time ago about the clips that hold the rods to the gearbox levers. They are available from a Land Rover dealership. Not dear at all. Take one with you, I broke two of the three on my SE6 getting them off, so took the last one with me to show the dealer what I wanted. Regards Te...

SORN and Tax refunds

SORN on the 01/04/2020, It's been showing as SORN since then on the website and it's the 30/04/2020. That's a full month to me and I paid tax for that that month so why did the website not show it as being taxed instead of SORN. I could have been using the car instead of locking it in the garage. Legal beavers out there ?

If anyone want's to use their cars and be within the rules of the day, why not volunteer to do medication runs for those who are unable to get the medication that they require from local pharmacists.

SE6 Windscreen fitting

I had the same system fitted on my MGB GT last year, same metal strip in same groove with corner pieces. I found an independent fitter who charged me £120 to fit the screen and finisher. It took him almost 8 hours, most of that was trying to get the metal finisher in. He was a bath of sweat and had ...
