PS the shocks didn't extend unless the spring is present. IE if you push them in they don't push themselves out ? is that normal
Some do cos they're pressurised wi' nitrogen or some such, others don't. Guess which costs more😡

Coupe Build From Australia

Hi Victor. Had a few problems too this year while doing my Coupe and garage. Friends must be thinking I'm in denial due to my irreverent appearance but I'm determined to enjoy what I've got. Close family and friends know I live by the following:- "Ageing with attitude!" "Adventure before dimencia!" ...

Does Run Fast 351 Eventually!

Right, back to fitness after a minor repair op in 'orspital, the other bonnet hinge put up a real fight needing minor surgery as well! Since then it's been utterly boring, nowt but sanding down the body shell and stripping the original felt insulation. I must be about a third of the way through so a...

ScimFest autotest?

Hi Andy, if you've never done one, advice is "Chuffin' 'eck, that were fun!"

Couldn't use the Scim one year so tried it in a Moggie Minor, what a hoot! It don't matter if you're bad or good, it's the laughs that make it. It can also be a half way step to Sprinting/Hill-climbing!

brakes getting stucked

I'd start at the pedal, is it returning to the brakes off position freely? Next would be the master cylinder piston, is it moving in the cylinder freely and not sticking so as to prevent pressure release fully? As both drums/ discs are mentioned in the first post, that about covers things that affec...

Bradbury Four Post Lift

Really sorry to read that, sounds like the modern lift I researched. That price doesn't represent the bleddy scrap value and shows complete ignorance on behalf of the seller! Completely understand your frustration and annoyance.

Does Run Fast 351 Eventually!

Mmmm, yep, I can't stay idle fer long. Today was a shunting day, GTE out, coupe out and turned round, GTE in for adjustments on the lift then straight out again. Coupe back in on the lift, GTE back in. Coffee break over, the last chassis fastening had to be ground off, then the handbrake handle was ...

Does Run Fast 351 Eventually!

Front tank straps seized so nuts drilled, chiselled open and straps removed. Fuel pipe unthreaded from chassis, coffee slurped then drivers door hinges and backing attacked. I thought that I'd have serious problems with the  fasteners considering they may have been in since 1967 but eight unsc...

Anyone Know Anything About Differentials?

Dear All Congratulations on hearing your clunk, your car is now among those rare possessions that are valued beyond their actual worth. The noise you heard is it's depreciation bottoming out, ricocheting upward towards its owners sublime smugness. It is the focused object of every driver of a modern...
