It’s a 5 yard paint job with some imperfections on every panel ... - but it was very cheap and is all one colour.
Careful Jim, with self prompotion like that, you'll have people breaking your door down for resprays!

Has the Marcos got EFi now?
No it has carbs, we're not allowed to go efi. The ECU just does the ignition system.

The 60 kph thing is an indication inside the car (speedo)

Not to us!

That's Brands Hatch, we only did 1 race with the headlight covers painted. We were asked to fit the head lights back in.

Anyone Know Anything About Differentials?

Have you checked all the trailing arm & Watts linkage bushes? That would be my first candidate for clunking, follwed by damper bushes and/or dampers themselves.

Oulton Park 2 June 2018

How do you show the car is doing 60 kph? I presume it's for the pit lane limit, but does it mean some sort of automatic light? Are you asking in general for pit lane speeds & code 60 flags? Or specifically on the Marcos? If it's for the Marcos & you noticed from the on-board video that the speedo d...

The Doctors Coupe - SRE 353G

Whilst at the side of the road looking at fueling issues last week, I realised the cheap small tool kit I'd swapped in to the coupe was pretty hopeless, a small range of metric spanners (with no 13mm!). Along with an adjustable spanner. 20180613_203606.jpg I'd also found the small tool kit I have in...

I definitely checked the float level when I stripped the carb. I'm sure I tweaked it too, so it wouldn't necessarily be what you set it to Nick. The 40 DFA is 5.5-6mm & 14mm, so pretty much the same.

I don't need a seat, but I may need a heater matrix. I'll pull it out first though to have a look, I may be getting in touch with you...

551 A race oddity

The SS1 now has a drivers footwell / floor again. 20180609_191516.jpg I’ve made this in steel, to afford my feet greater protection if / when I run over a kerbing or anything else at a race track if I come off the tarmac. I’ll be fitting a flat floor to the car anyway, but the whole drivers side is ...

The Doctors Coupe - SRE 353G

On Thursday, I was persuaded to take the coupe down the the Kineton Classics evening again. I was only there for about 40 minutes, but got accosted by 2 different people asking about GTE's when I was climbing out my car. 20180607_195626.jpg Also there was another coupe there, I did chat to the guy w...

The Doctors Coupe - SRE 353G

Having thought I’d cured the misfire on the coupe, it turns out I hadn’t. It started running badly, then stopped all together and I coasted in to a handy layby. It seemed like it had run out of fuel, so I took the feed pipe off the carb; there was no fuel, I turned on the ignition, the electric pump...
