Funny, the instructions only mention 8 valves. I thought the 2.9I was a V6 - No? - and why does it mention locknuts when there aren't any ? Weird.

I think canbus means there are several lights around the cylindrical part of the bulb. For the instument lights you should have 9mm with level pins.

Also worth checking that your advance/retard mechansm is working; have you kept the vacuum advance? pipe disconnected? rubber connector split?

Take trunnions off,have look at the threads on both the trunnions and the uprights. Wear here can cause your symptoms, as can lack of grease.
