Manual Gearbox Conversion Kit £350 East Sussex

Yes, Mine for example! However, the comment about hydraulic cylinders confuses me. Didn't the SE5A have vacuum-assisted brakes? How canthe master cylinders be the same size?

He says the brake & clutch master cylinders are the same size, so it wasn't intended for a SE6

Classic Days 29-30 Aug 2020

Just for info, I have inscribed myself & Candy for this event, to be held at Magny-Cours this year (last year it was at Le Mans). Also for info, RSSOC is now on the list of clubs recognised by these organisers, so if the day ever dawns when we get 10 or more Reliants together(that'll be the day!!) w...

Hazard lights not working 6a

Before dismantling the dash panel, I would check the flasher unit. It should be behind the tachometer, easily reachable from the footwell. My 6A has two flasher units, one just for the hazards is live even when the ignition is off. I don't know if this is standard, my car has been extensively re-wir...

My Purple Project - SE5a 1973

Just an observation, which may not be relevant in UK. My towing ball sits where yours is, ie: partly obscuring the number-plate. I had to remove it for the last Controle Technique (French MOT).

intermittent loss of lots of dashboard electrics

I still favour your first instinct, ie: faulty earthing. The metal bar which runs laterally behind the dashboard is connected to metal uprights next to the A pillars, and these should all be connected to the chassis. To inspect thoroughly you need to remove dashboard panels and footwell side panels.

Mine isn't round, its a bog-standard square relay rated at 20 amps, which sounds a bit marginal, but its never caused any problems.

Circuit Historique, Laon

I went with the Two Freds in 2017, thoroughly enjoyed the event -apart from the embarassing behaviour of a lot of the Brits.

SE5a valve length wrt mild road cam & unleaded seat inserts

I don't think even very old springs would shorten by 5mm. -and who would use knackered old springs on a new camshaft with a modified head? It sounds to me as though the modified head needed shorter valves, so shorter springs were also necessary. I've just had another thought: check how much backlash...
