Lockheed rear drum brakes: How to fit the lower spring from behind?

Pre assemble the shoes and springs as one assembly then wiggle it over the square stud plate .
Then lever/stretch/swear at the assembly and locate it in position
Easy once you get the knack

I don't recall a problem even with PAS
With the engine mounts disconnected and the engine at a slight angle then support the bellhousing and the engine ought to clear the rack

Is it worth undoing the rack and pulling the whole assembly forwards once the steering shaft has been disconnected :oops:
