MOT changes

Off to NZ next Sunday - not coming back until mid March - I will think of you all while I'm sun bathing - but not a lot truth be told.

You can test the brake pad warning "lamp" quite easily - but if you do not have the pads fitted to operate it ( I don't ) then testing the lamp does nothing

Rather than go into the circuits step by step better that you see the step by step guide already done by Phil Wormald which should be available here - http://www.scimitarss1.co.uk/

ps wiring drawing in colour can be found here - https://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/~nenoggins/Wiring.htm

removing windows

I find it easier to push front bottom while lifting the rubber inside - as flat hat says they come out easily ( and go back in quite easily as well ) Be careful they don't fall on the ground and break - handy if you have someone to make sure they don't drop the first time to remove one.

Which colour looks best?

If you change the colour completely eg green to blue you will have to send you reg doc away to be modified. Our Coupe is gold - a horrible yellow gold originally but I am going to do it platinum gold which is more silver than gold but I don't have to have the reg doc amended.

reverse sensors

Fitted them to my GTC when I had it, the Coupe and the MB - the GTC fit was easy as they fitted between the lower inner corners of the rear lights and the bumper, with the Coupe fitted them in the reflectors. You may be able to get them in the same place as I did with the GTC

Not the time of year to be working on a car outdoors - although it did not bother me when I was young(er). It looks like its all there and just needs putting back together - keep the pictures coming.

Brake servo which one

I thought that it was illegal to remove a servo when one was fitted originally - I might have misheard the law though.

Brake servo which one

If you have the Girling part number or someone can remember what else uses the same servo ( I cannot for the moment ) you can pick the one you need from this list.

PS to remove the alt pully bolt put a socket on it then hit the socket tommy bar with a hammer - it should come loose straight away
