I had to look your location up as I had never heard of the place before - we will be landing at Ijmuiden next month on route for the international in France. I put a Rover V8 in our 6A as they were easy to get in the 80's and cheap, it suited the car very well and should in my opinion have been fitt...

1967 Coupe Brochure

Like you say a report of the sixties era - still kept it in my files though. Being a new car probably accouts for a lot of the "stiff" gear change comments - shortened my gear stick which makes it better.

I am sure you are trying to get back the money from our car swap - I will take a "set" from you Steve and they will be put in a box marked "Corky's spares" I still have your bank details so can do a transfer as soon as you work out the final cost - that is unless you have changed your bank lately. Being a automatic there would only be two pedals - not so bad !. Is it still around Jim - last time I saw it was at Harewood in 2000. I assume we are talking about the same ( red ) Sabre.

eBay parts!

I just bought a handbrake cable from GW - don't have the receipt and bought other things at the same time so I cannot remember the price but don't think it was much different.

eBay parts!

Problem is parts advertised on Ebay and Amazon as for Scimitars are quite often not for Scimitars at all and you end up returning them. At least with the club traders your chances of getting the wrong bits are slim. For example brake discs.

MOT changes

Not sure which rules affect our cars as I did not have time to go through them all with my MOT man but for example - reversing lights now checked for cars post 2009, under bonnet sound proofing must be fitte...

Gerry's car is still available on for sale ( not cheap but worth it ) but you would have to be quick as the cars now on carandclassic and he has had two calls in two days.

SS1 Brake shoe Part No ???

Nice to hear it Steve - just in case you do not know the drums are "Reliant specials" and the club traders have nil stock until they get some more made. Nigel has a few used ones though if you are desperate.
