I had a friend with a BMW who blew the top off a Nissan battery when he tried to jump start it - thinking that black on the BMW battery would be -ve. Fortunately he was not leaning over the battery when it blew.

Up here in the NE we have been waiting for the "hurricane". No wind all morning but a bit misty - still not much wind - not even the brown leaves are being blown off the trees. But the mist is yellow - very strange and very unsettling and the mist is getting thicker.

The cost for shipping the jack back to them is probably down to you on the guarantee - if your eyes are good enough to read the small print - or you have a magnifying glass too hand.
