That sort of points to the main lead from the alternator to the battery being the problem but as its a short lead direct from the battery terminal down to the starter motor and then to the alternator ( from memory ) it should not be too difficult to find. The battery -ve connects straight to the eng...

Insurance "who" is a regular question - I was with Adrian Flux for years but have just insured with Classic Line as they seem better to deal with - not necessarily cheaper but quicker to respond etc.

Funnily I don't know anyone who has had a DB5 manifold replaced - how did you know. I do know where you can get one though.

Fuse 7-8 is the right hand side lights - what is the state of the switch - headlights on or just side lights - I assume headlights on in which case you have a earth problem and the voltage is being fed through their common what should be earth but isn't. 11.6 I don't understand what this is.

I pulled this sample of wiring from the web but don't know if the colours are the same and have no idea where the Scim wires go to but it gives you an idea of what to expect. If you find out the wire colours and where they end up let me know and I will add them to the wiring drawing - there is no in...

The ignition lamp works the same way as older cars - compares alternator output with battery it just does not control. There are "thin" wires on the alternator plug - you need to check the one that connects the alternator to the battery +ve. Sorry its a old and not very good photo.

IIRC unlike the "normal" arrangement where the alternator gets info about the battery condition via the ignition lamp there is a extra wire which connects the alternator control directly to the battery and the ignition lamp is purely there as a indication and not part of the control circuit. No priz...

Hello there!

You might still be able to book for the international if you are quick. Touring around Europe is good fun in a Scimitar - perhaps we will come across you somewhere.
