Sabre 1400 just added

Measurements seems to agree with the one I have here. NO identifying marks or numbers on it other than "Magnetti Marelli" on the solenoid head casting. Can't get pictures to upload. Few more measurements, 29mm across the drive gear, 10 teeth. 88.8mm diameter across "shoulder" of mounting face. Drive...

How many teeth on the meshing gear? I have a couple of unknowns and recall they have a different number.

G130 YCF my first sprint car

Seconded on the gearbox mount. I have 70 shore on the fast road car, and a 90 for the Ti. Used a vibratechnics on the old drift car which meant it was practically hard mounted, but I feel leaving some movement in the driveline is a sensible thing.

G130 YCF my first sprint car

Yeah had spied the sunken nut but just wondered if there was any indication of exactly what lies within. I'm skeptical of the benefits tbh and wouldn't fit them on anything but a proper uncompromised race car. Rally design uprated rubber mounts on mine, drives lovely. Very unlikely to rip a good (OE...

Petrol tank

Let me know if you want to sell the tank, from the memory it looked good and was actually a considered plus point when I very nearly bought that car!

Saves me having to weld up the one I have here.

Manny's SS1 1600

But if your daughter is intent on driving it, please the first bit of money you should be spending is on a set of new tyres. I note from the pictures on the same axle one old style looking continental and a khumo powermax. I like saving money and getting the most out of something, but 150 buys you a...

Manny's SS1 1600

Only mildly uprated at 250lbs Vs 180lbs original. Not had anyone complain of a harsh ride, think of it more like tightening up from standard. Worth pointing out that most SS1s are well below standard now!

Manny's SS1 1600

Do check your rear trailing arms to be sure one isn't giving way. Think it would be alarmingly obvious if so, but while you are there. The Monroe rear damper / spring units are generally very good, so if you have a fully functioning replacement you could simply swap that in and carry on enjoying the...

Cam-shaft oil seal 'popped out'

The dolleys in the back of the patrol vans are clever little things eh? Had experience of three in one day as we got passed back down the country after major engine failure!

Crank case gases would be my guess also. Although it's usually the dipstick which gets jettisoned first.

My dad's SE6b for sale

Funnily enough I was just looking at this on C&C and thinking of all the boxes it ticks and feeling that the asking price was about right. The blistering is of little concern to myself, I don't own, nor strive to own cosmetically perfect cars. The reality is most GTE's need paint work, so what's chi...
