Ford introduction

Welcome. The SS1 is a great litle car when sorted and provides reliable and affordable fun. Besides loads of pictures of your project, may I have the VIN please so that I can update the register?

Many thanks.

For me, as a keen collector of vintage wristwatches, there has been another possible example of product placement. Many of the male members of the cast seem to sport 'Majex' wristwatches. Majex produced reasonably priced quality swiss wristwatches which are now being classed as antique. Anorak now h...

For me, the starring role on tonight's edition of 'The Avengers' entitled 'You have just been murdered' was a white Coupe, registeration ARF 956D. Alongside this beauty, even the delectable Mrs Emma Peel paled into insignificance. This series is currently being shown on ITV4. Some great cars are fea...

Originality - how important is it to you?

In my opinion, maintaining the original character is what matters. We improve our homes with central heating, double glazing, modern plumbing and electrics, I see nothing wrong in maintaining our cars and updating them to cope better with modern road conditions. Paint is a consumable and needs repla...

Clutch cable

Thanks all.

A replacement clutch cable has been ordered from QRG. Hopefully it will have been fitted to enable me to drive my Sabre to Scimfest on Sunday.

Clutch cable

Good morning.

The clutch cable on my Scimitar Sabre 1800Ti has failed. May I ask, is the replacement a bespoke item or a stock Nissan replacement, please?

Great first post but please follow the advice offered and get some axle stands. That way we get to read your second post and enjoy your car some more!

Hello. Me SS1 owner

Hello and welcome. I'm that man and as Jim says, would welcome the registration number and VIN so I can check whether your car has been registered, or not. These little cars are most sustainable and, once up together, great fun to drive. You'll find lots of information on here and there's lots of ex...

Re: Nice SS1

You're right Phil. I asked the lady for the VIN and she complied. Unusual for an ebay seller. In exchange I put it on here and our facebook page. It is a sweet looking car and I hope it goes to a good home. I wonder how far the MOT station was from her home!

SS1 for sale

Hi all

There is a rather splendid looking, original SS1 1300 for sale on ebay. One owner, just 16,150 miles from new, priced at £2995.00. Located in the Wolverhampton area, what's not to like?

Seller's contact number is 07736 081116
