Daily Driver

There is no reason a classic like a GTE couldn't be used as an everyday car. Bear in mind it may lack some creature comforts we take for granted in modern cars but may be none the worse for this. It will require more maintainance, however, this last fact may well contribute to its overall reliabilit...

SS1 Rear Skirt

So it did go in to production then! I must admit I've never seen one. Dave, I've heard a rumour, is it true you are considering remanufacturing Mark 1 Sabre boot lid spoilers?

SS1 Rear Skirt

A rear skirt was fitted to the prototype 1800Ti C686 GOH. It was not commented favourably on during a Motor press report on the car dated 28th June 1986. I don't think it went into production.

C313FHB , SS1 no#437

Hi, congratulations on your acquisition and welcome on here. I was delighted to learn you've got your car running better. In my opinion, carburettors are a black art! Your car appears on the register and apparently it has been retro fitted with a galvanised chassis so that's one less thing you will ...

Sabre 2 in Netherlands

Bart Gordjin has been in touch with me. He has bought a Sabre 2 from Belgium and needs to register it in the Netherlands where he lives. I've copied and pasted his query concerning the engine number on his car. I've been through the register and could find no information on this particular issue. Do...

More smoke

Interesting. I use Millers fully synthetic 5 - 30 oil in my 1800Ti. The idle speed varies somewhat between 850 - 1000 rpm depending on what electrickery is switched on and I've never experienced any smoke. Many years ago I had a W registered Saab 9 3 turbo which had only light use before I acquired ...

B reg SS1 for spares - North Scotland

Hi Will

B371 VST is not on the register. If you are able to obtain them, I would very much appreciate the VIN, engine number and date of first registration, please.

Kind regards

Mike

SST 1.4

Your car looks like a remarkably good buy considering the price. It's already on the register but may I update the records to include its new owner please?

Cheers Mike.

petrol!

Your aftermarket fuel cap looks good. What I found interesting is that whenever I 'brim' my tank it seldom goes much above three quarters full! Is this a fault of the breed?

Jim's right on both counts! Although I do have an image of it taken when it had recently been snowing, the car does not appear on the Register. I would very much appreciate the VIN, engine number and date of first registration please. Good luck with your sale, it looks an amazing car. Cheers, Mike
