People say all new internals probably mean new bearing , seals and other bits , but not new gears .
Yes I think it did include the synchro hubs but not the gear set

Reconditioned gearbox se5a

Actually just been speaking to Nigel at QRG and he recons a reconditioned box is roughly £1K plus VAT. Thats all new internals though I think. I might have a go at it - never done a box before. The change is actually very smooth with no balking or grinding or much slop in the lever its just noisy so...

Reconditioned gearbox se5a

Can anyone give me a ball park figure as to the cost of a reconditioned 4 speed box for my 5A please. Also leaks oil like a siv (front oil seal I think) If anyone can reccomend...

Yellow SE5 series in Doncaster

Hi saw what looked like a yellow SE5 tootling into the B&Q car park in Doncaster today. Any Scimitar sighting in Doncaster are a rare thing indeed.
Was covered in stickers and had a racing White circle on the doors.
Anyone on here?

Engine, preserving for long term storage?

Personally I would make use of a large can of WD40 - I think this is actually what it was designed for originally but could be wrong. Obviously seal up all engine orifices as well. Ive been told that the aluminium faced duct tape is good for this I would leave plugs in but just finger tight and prob...
