Mikey A fuel pump for carbs runs at about 6psi or lower so that it has enough pressure to lift the fuel from the pump to the reservoir. if you run the pump at a higher pressure than this you can over pressurize the the shut off valve on the float and over fill the reservoir and flood the engine. A f...

Mikey Scimjim is correct you need a high pressure pump. I have got a suitable pump lying about my garage that it used to get my Zetec engine running on a cradle out of the car. You can borrow it if you want when you are next passing. i guess your Camens system will be fine. most systems run multiple...

Mikey They return via some odd shaped thing that I guess is to do with emissions or some carbon type filter which I din not bother reinstating as there was not enough room. This is it. I am sure someone more intelligent than me will confirm what it does. nov 2017 mid 003.JPG However the return port ...

I take my hat off to you Phil for fitting the water pipe with the original set and engine in the car. I dropped the o ring several times with no body shell on the chassis!

I should be around tomorrow.

Interesting thought on cooking engine mounts. It had not considered that. Perhaps a simple heat shield is required.

You can also see the coolant pipe to the bottom of the rad. This is the original pipe which I have extended past the front tower. however I do not think you will be able to remove this pipe if the o seal to the block leaks in future. So I an planning to cut the pipe between the two pipes that are ly...

I think Phil use Calibra manifolds. I have got a pair lying about the garage if you want them as I changed my mind and had a go at making bespoke headers. they took me months to make. I am not sure of the gains but they look sexy and had fun making them. Here is a picture of the Calibra manifolds. T...

I think I used a renault idler pulley. I made a bracket so it replaced the power steering pump pulley to get the wrap on the water pump. DSC00390.JPG DSC00391.JPG Perhaps I should have mounted the pulley 10mm higher to give better clearance to the other idler pulley but there is a 5mm gap so it is o...

I agree with Phil you need more wrap on the water pump. just remount a pulley where the power steering pump was.

I think I used a Renault pulley to get the height near the original design.
