If you align the engine to the chassis, you’ll end up with it being level..and that’s not good for the prop. Measure the diff angle - I think it’s pointing upward. 2 degrees rings a bell - both the angle the diff pinion points upwards (namely towards the front of the car) and also what the box should point downwards (so parallel, but offset a bit). They’re on the horizontal face of the chassis, just forward of where the carpet finishes (from memory). 2 x M8 hex head (13mm), sometimes hidden by the sound proofing foam.

I started doing that, gouged a bit out of my knuckle with said grinder then realised afterwards I didn’t need to after all.

1) it certainly stops excessive droop of the hose into the back of the pump but don’t recall exactly where it fits :oops:
2) does trimming the hose (choke end) bring it clear of the throttle cable? I know it’s a one-way choice but does it look like it could work if shortened?
