I’ve got a pair of good cast ones JC. I’ve only got 5a downpipes but new stainless ones are peanuts from the usual suspects iirc?

Sabre 1400 just added

Just having another look, is this the same one that GW had for sale for around £6500? I know the ad says they had it in 2016 but I'm sure I had a look round one there more recently?

660XYB Engine fix

The carrier looks like an Essex one to me, so there's a chance the bearing is early Essex too?

660XYB Engine fix

The straight sixes do indeed use a ball race bearing rather than a bush. I replace them by removing the flywheel and pressing it all the way through as there’s no special tools required and in this situation you’d always be taking the flywheel off anyway.

Straight Six Clutch Bearing

So the measurements of the correct bearing are approx .675” deep and ID 1.505”
The boss on the carrier is approx 1.49” OD (I forgot to measure the shoulder at the end where the bearing press fits but it’ll be 1.5”) and 0.9” long

Straight Six Clutch Bearing

Has anyone got a spare clutch release bearing for a straight 6? The one I've got is a different size to the original ones and carriers I have so must be off a Z4. I could do with it pretty urgently and most places are shut for Christmas now Cheers Photo of the slight difference in size 20181222_1500...
