INFRARED THERMOMETER (LASER)

Lidl had them the other day btw. Tbh I have an expensive Raytek 120 quid 12 years ago, accurate to eleventy decimal places, almost pointless for DIY or car stuff. They 8.99 ones will be repeatable and accurate as you need, but I prefer the 'gun ' style casing for ease of use and a hold button which ...

Values are linked to volume of desirability, often driven by competition heritage imho. Those that couldn't afford an RS2000/Sierra Cossie when new, are now old enough to afford one hence the market for them. Whilst I've never owned an old Ford I can see their appeal and understand why good examples...

If you download the early Silvia manual it'll tell you how to time the engine mechanically, then refit the tin pulley at correct position

good work fella! crank pulley is a mk1 silvia but the tin pulley bolts onto the crank dampener with 6 x M8 bolts so im guessing that the pressed pulley has been removed in the past and fitted a hole or two out. ive often thought that a 'plug n play' adaptor lead from std Nissan ecu plugs to a megasq...

Have a manual but don't like the clutch?

You can put a strain gauge sensor in the gear lever, when the lever loaded to shift it will engage the clutch. Race cars with dog engagement (not synchro) gearboxes use the strain gauge to fire a rev limiter to drop the revs allowing full throttle changes-- no need to lift throttle pedal
