A decent rebuild of an Essex is (should be...) 5k and in cars like an E Type an engine rebuild would be 15k so 10k conversion is sensible financially. They will run in all weather's no cold or hot start issues either. Only thing is the sound and the ability to leak oil and coolant on the garage floo...

Most aftermarket are ABS or similar, to the hole and bond in with tiger seal or similar

RB25DET skyline engined GTE sprint car

350z motor is a co-op with Renault. Gearboxes are really tough and quite big (same as rb25 size) in fact it's z33 box whereas the RB was the z32 box so similar family.
370z box is tougher still but deeper
