Corky's Scimitars

Not sure how easy it is to mandate HANS lids for RG, as you need at least a 4 point harness and maybe race seat too (keeps the straps in alignment) but personally it's great upping the safety, means you can drive faster! I do agree though it's very very wise to get any lid at least HANS re...

Joe's 1972 GTE - A T5 Gearbox Update...

Id be interested in buying or borrowing the T5 nose tube, I'm doing am ss1 Ti to T5 conversion and whilst I too and going with concentric, the std nose tube would help give a datum for the machine shop

engine oil

When competing with a ss1 CVH, I ran full.mineral 10/40 Castrol GTX from Halfords. I did try fully synth, but it breathed very heavy (blew excess into catch tank) and smoked a little, back to old skool 10/40 mineral and it barely used a drop and ran super quiet too :)

Had a plate on my TVR, C6 CNH, let it go with the car. You can get away with a lot more without an easily remembered plate

Gasket oil leak on a TI

How to turn the crank witj the crank bolt?? Socket and knuckle bar--simples!

Head bolts are reusable or pattern ones available from motor factors or genuine from Nissan. Just be clear with your chosen supplier it's s12 CA18ET fitment 8v as other countries got other engines and the bolts will be wrong

Ensure plugs are out and it's easy enough to turn over with the crank bolt or at worst cam bolt

I thought Graham from zetecinside designed that oil take off plate? If so he'll have the drawings or CAD file, might be worth an ask? Whilst his zetec fiesta is sold he runs an ecoboost powered single seater now, ex F4 iirc

He's on UHR as grahamb :)
