going wed night portsmouth to le havre staying in bleu nord. will call in to suze on way to vineyard if time. looking at france meteo take the sun block.

at a trackday in france a group from up north with stripped out fords had between them, a whole car, less bodyshell distributed among the cars which made an impressive pile in the paddock.

the fluid level hasn't gone down plus i have drive but can't disengage the clutch and the pedal goes to the floor all on its own and the clutch is still engaged. once going i can't stop.

car is a vw with a common reservoir for brakes and clutch. the clutch pedal sometimes goes to the floor and sticks there until pulled up, the clutch stays engaged, another symptom that is odd to see is when the pedal goes to the floor on its own and sticks there. suggestions welcome, as going throug...

The turbo gives the same power curve as normally aspirated but the torque curve is not a curve its almost flat from 3-5000

Brake caliper/disc upgrade options

Standard in top condition with good top brand pads [mintex,ferodo] probably o k for normal use.
For hard use 4 pot vented wilwoods with top pads.
For trackday I add cooling ducts to disc and caliper.
Most important is the pad make and compound.
IMHO.

transmission will need beefing up, other mods also needed but 325 lbs torque is addictive.

when i used to do the track day the wed. before the classic the organisers were very strict. we had 6 30min sessions if you went off on your 1st lap you were out of the circuit for the day no refund. off on the 2nd lap you lost that session had to explain to the clerk of the course and were not allo...

16 in wheels on 5a

Has anyone used 16 in wheels?
I need to change the wheels on my 5a and am considering 16x 7 for a wider choice of tyre.

Relays lots of relays and extra fuses.
Possibly overkill I have 18 fuses + a few inline fuses and 8 relays on my 5a
