plastic float 34/44, brass float 41/51 IIRC.
Thanks Jim. That fits in with 10mm travel of the float required

Is it rich both banks?
Yes its rich on both banks. No idea about the CO. The carb was working fine before the rebuild started.Mpg was good. Ive not re-jetted it as the carb was brand new when I bought it. But I will check the float level

Ians GTC rebuild. Now she runs, and stops.

Having sorted the brakes out and with thoughts of an MOT test getting closer, problems arose setting up the carb along with a badly fitting rotor arm. Its running very rich but I cannot cure the fault. Also I can get the car to tick over, and when I put it in gear it stalls (its an auto box). I incre...

Replacement carpets

my Coverdale ones were shocking, some additional bits that I still have no idea where they go, and most needed a lot of trimming, pretty dissapointing, its not the cost of the carpet, its the time and the effort in trying to get them in, then to stand back and think, well its OK but not perfect.......

Am I inhibited ?

Check the condition of the wiring from the inhibitor to the starter relay then to the starter motor. Just renewed mine as the wires had gone crispy under the insulation. The plug onto the inhibitor is unavailable but you can get the wiring loom from here; https://www.autosparks.co.uk/finder. Fitted ...

Thanks Roger. No sooner than you feel the end is close, you then get a kick in the wossits. Bleeding the brakes yesterday, back fine. Front calipers different story. Bleed nipple snapped off when I tried to undo it. Tried to get the sub out with the easy outs, no luck. Totally siezed in. Tried drill...

Radio feeds come from a pair of short bullet connectors. They are not easy to see although clear on the factory manual's loom diagrams. Look below the windscreen line and behind the speedometer on the scuttle. One is permanent live, the other is ignition switched live. Thanks Andy. I will have a lo...

Ians GTC rebuild. Now she runs.

Right just a quick update. Had a few days away in the caravan as we hadnt used it this year and wanted to get some use before Silverstone. Fitted the new cap and got the engine to run fairly smoothly. Just need to tweak the timing. So it was back to jobs that could be done in the garage due to the r...
