Rear hub bearings

Windy Don't worry, the spacer (not numbered on your drawing) that the pin goes through has a slot rather than a round hole, so the halfshafts can happily move one way or the other. This is why the shafts' play needs to be the same at each end, so the spacer isn't tight against the pin. Hope this cla...

Daft it is! Let us know how you get on. It took me a while to work it out myself, wonder why Ford (I think the panel's a Ford part?) decided that a second arrow would be clearer than a circle or even a square?

GTC hardtop glass rubber

Thanks for all the suggestions, none of their sites have anything that looks suitable. Just waiting for samples from Phoenixtrim.co.uk so we'll see.
Hadn't thought of other Reliant vehicles I'll get in touch with Partsworld on Monday.

GTC hardtop glass rubber

Neither QRG nor GW can supply the window rubbers for a GTC hardtop. Does anyone have a broken top, or know of an 'unofficial' substitute for the real thing?

Thanks

Alex.

Where are you based? I might have a job for you! Do you make them or fit Don/Aldridge?

Joe
Don't take offence, but you know that the top position on the distribution lever isn't the demist? It shuts off all the air outlets, it's the middle one that's demist.
Sorry for mentioning the bleeding obvious!!

If you take the plastic face plate off the footwell vent you can insert a finger and feel if the flap is moving. I had a jammed one so although the lever felt more or less ok it wasn't moving anything.

GTC hood suppliers?

Thanks for the tip. All the ones I'd seen on eBay looked a bit flimsy! Nice to see they can punch the holes as well.

Famous Scimitar owners

A "Play, a pie and a pint" episode last night (maybe only north of the border) mentioned that Chic Murray had a Scimitar but didn't specify the model. Apparently he got off a drink-driving charge because his lawyer argued that the car was Chic's office, he being a much-travelled comedian.

I hadn't realised that the poppers weren't fitted, with all the blurb about 'original patterns' I thought they'd know where to put the fixings! Maybe they sell the tools as well.

I've got samples on the way from Don and Aldridge, thinking that 'Burgundy' might be a dark red sort of thing. Or dark green :?

I think one of the posts I looked at said that GW source their hoods from Don.

It looks like most people go with black but I'm really tempted to have a change!!

£493.50 in black or 10% extra for colours. I read somewhere that hot water has the same effect as a warm day for fitting.

I'm in Scotland so unless Guy has a pattern he's a bit far....
