5a manual steering rack

Hi.

I have listed a manual steering rack for a 5a on eBay. I actually have two of these. Open to discussion, just wanting to clear some space and have too many scimitar spares here really.

Steering racks

Why doesn't that surprize me!
I guess that bl had a few spares so reliant helped them out a bit!
Someone told me the front screen on a 5 a is from a ford classic, is that correct. I believe the 6a was meant to be from a corsair?

Steering racks

Hi I have two manual steering to sell. I know one is from a 5a which I had in bits a few years ago. The second rack is visually identical to the first so I imagine its from either a 5a also or maybe the previous models. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where reliant bought these racks from. I...

Rear axle

Thanks for the links, it gives me an idea of how to list my one. In fact I have just worked out that I have 5, two on the cars I'm keeping and at least one more I should keep as a spare. That means that I might have two to sell! Mind you, they are both untested as neither car was every driven on the...

Rear axle

Hi

I have just been asked about selling my spare rear axle. It's from a 1977 6a . I haven't ever heard it on the road or looked at it properly.
Any idea how much I should expect for it? How do I quickly find out which type of axle it is?

Thanks

Chassis for 6a

I have now listed the more rusty chassis on ebay so if anyone is interested in having a look at the pictures the Item number is : 333273058023

I think that it is probably not going to sell so I will probably take it to weigh in along with a discovery body shell in a couple of weeks.

Chassis for 6a

The better one is already completely stripped ready to go. The other one still is rolling although I intend to remove the axle and front suspension in the next few days. I think the beer and my imagination were at work the other night when I was considering putting the running gear back on to have a...

Chassis for 6a

Thanks for the info. I did wonder if it was worth getting the better one fully cleaned and treated and but it sounds like it would not make sense for me to do it, better to leave it to whoever (if anybody) buys it. I wondered today if I could be bothered to waste a few hours with my mig welder to ma...

Chassis for 6a - Norwich

Hi I have now two 6a chassis to get rid of. Both cars were not worth saving so the plastic part has gone. One of the chassis has some issues on the outer riggers that run along the sill and also on the back but its easy to get to and repair now so could be made sound before being put onto another ca...

stripped 6a

The body I removed last week I kept in once piece and dropped it on to my trailer. I took it to my local rubbish weigh bridge and they charged me 56 including Vat for it. Was so easy compared to cutting up the body, something I have done before and never want to do again, especially as you still nee...

Good Chassis to be sold

Yes, I can see the point. I feel that it is pretty solid as the car was low mileage and cared until the very expensive paint job all pealed and I then bought the car.

I will give it a proper clean up next weekend and then take plenty of pictures.

Thanks
