Prescott 26 May 2018

Don't be too surprised. Their own club members couldn't get entry for that weekend so are heading to Loton instead.
The Prescott manager is leaving shortly so there is hope things may change for the better.

Glad its fixed the problem, but what do you surmise was happening to create the binding of the brakes?

Rear Shock Absorbers for my Sabre 6

Iain Daniels specified the Protech replacement shocks on my Sabre. I have rose joints which makes it thump a bit, but it corners beautifully. They do rubber and poly bushes depending what you want. Very good quality and prices, especially if I go over in person.

Sorry you're having to give them up but understand completely why. Good luck with the sales.

There's always something - one down just a few more to go - then another few.
Shouldn't be surprised should I? Thanks for your help Peter.

That penny must be one of Nick's. It would look like new if it was Trevor's.

Inspected the alternator end of the loom: IMG_3745.jpg and confirmed that the resistance was nothing (rather than zero) so not connected or varied from 60 ohms to above 130 ohms. Hard to understand why given that the loom was laid on a piece of wood on top of the engine. Once I'd undone the clamp cl...

Congratulations Victor. Absolutely delighted for you and very glad driving it for the first diminished the pain. I guess the lights work too!

Thanks Alan and Peter. I’ll unsolder the joints, take the wire out and measure it in isolation. If all good I’ll clean and resolder everything. If the wire is still bad I’ll slice the insulation and see what’s wrong. Externally it’s hard to see that anything has happened that might damage it. It’s w...

Disconnected that part of the loom that goes to starter and alternator. Started to check continuity but had to stop for other responsibilities. This picture is the measurement between the soldered ends from alternator to starter. IMG_3504.jpg Resistance appears to be about 60 ohms. When I move the w...

Just doing some more investigation but April shower stops play. The two control wires going in to the alternator are brown the other brown/yellow. One is 12v live with ignition off. Both are 12v live with ignition on. IMG_3501.jpg Will double check which way around these are so I get the colours cor...
