Welcome Shaun, here's a photo of your car taken in 2016 at the Brodie Classic car show next to MB46 and MB47.

What cars did you see today? (Non-Scimitar)

Rolls Royce 20/25 on the A95 yesterday. Looked fantastic. Keeping a steady 40, even through a 30!

Everything is relative, it is north of the central belt! :) I have picked up 2 cars from Bristol, one from Cambridge and one from Manchester and that is just the Scimitars! Okay, they drove home and were not on a trailer. I admire Josh's commitment, there has got to be a free Scimitar closer ...

Good GOL ly, Will - you kept that one quiet! I never knew you had a secret wreck of a 5a! All the best with the sale. It'd be nice to see it back in its full glory... Where's that groan emoticon! Yes, GOL is/was my first Scimitar and I ran it for 10 years before taking it off the road to conc...

Right, the time has come that I have to realise that I am not going to get round to restoring GOL 535L and neither do I really want to break it. This is despite the fact that I have always hung onto it using the excuse that I could use it for parts for my other 5a. I would prefer it to go to someone...

Rear lamps - OEM source?

This is the lamp as fitted to MB67. I can get the part number off the lens of MB14 if it helps?

Rear lamps - OEM source?

Chris, from what I know the lamp is a Hella as fitted to the VW T2Transporter, like this on eBay

Not sure if there is an early/late difference but the early cars like MB14 did not use the rear fog section but relied on the separate fogs below the rubber bumper as per the 6b.

2009 Scrappage Scheme Victims

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere but a quick search did not throw up a specific thread. After reading a bit in Autocar, I picked up on the FoI response to the list of cars that were part of the scrappage Scheme in 2009. This gives the numbers of Scimitars and other Reliants that formed part of...

What cars did you see today? (Non-Scimitar)

The Western Isles Classic Car Club were en route to the Fraserburgh Rally tomorrow and stopped in Elgin, where I happened on some presumably visiting the motor museum. Some nice vehicles including a couple of Audi Quattros so I parked my A5 next to one to compare the cars 34 years apart. 20190601_13...

Middlebridge Tyres

I am running Vredestein Sportrac 5 at 91V on MB14. Good tyre, if slightly noisier on some surfaces than the previous Bridgestones but summer not all season. I would be inclined to go for the Uniroyals that Peter lists (have them on the 5a but not enough miles yet to fully test them) or my all season...
