1600 SS1 engine removal problem/question

Sorry if this has all been discussed before, but I can't get my head round no drain plug on a Type 9. Were they meant to be sealed for life? If not, what?

Series 5 - but last year

Somebody sent me this photo taken at the 32nd Hunton Steam Gathering over the weekend of 9th and 10th September 2017. Clipped the end of the Scim.

Washed out Kirkcudbright

White Series 5 (too quick for reg. or pic.) outside private house in N. Kirkcudbright (B&B?) on Sat. and same yesterday outside Hotel-on-the-Loch (A75).

Kevin E. washed out at Kbt Rally, perhaps? I didn't even bother as it chucked it down all day.

You learn something new every day

SS1 Mixture & Running

Thanks for the clarification, gents. I'd rather not go down a manifold change route, so will look at the DMTR/DMTL one and see if anything grabs me. As noted in my earlier, I've been offered alternatives, but don't know yet what they might be, so could end up sticking to my current route. If I do, i...
