Lockheed rear drum brakes: How to fit the lower spring from behind?

I found it helped too, to whittle four little wooden pegs to push in the spring holes to stop the springs jumping out if the tension slackened on them.

Indeed. If you look carefully, you'll see it's well lined up with the overriders and the body curve immediately above it. What he might have 'mis'seen' is the optical illusion provided by the highlight to the upper left of the plate; the highlight looks as if it is rising (giving the NP the appearan...

…...took an SE5/coupe drum to Moss International and compared it with a new TR3a drum and they were a different shape completely??? :w

Sorry if this has all been discussed before, but I can't get my head round no drain plug on a Type 9. Were they meant to be sealed for life? If not, what? :shock:
