Legal beavers out there ?

As mentioned Peter it wasn't an essential journey so you have contravened the emergency legislation. Taxis should only be carrying fares who need to go for essential shopping, medical care, or taking an essential worker to or from work. First pic shows where the code is sometimes. As you have purchased a new barrel I assume there is no code. There are a number of brut force op...

shiny :D (pic of gauges) Very nice Geraint - if you search for 'Lucas 6WL' you can also get the warning cluster with a chrome bezel. I bought one for a tenner or so, just for the chrome, but used my own cluster. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Lucas-6WL-Dashboard-Combination-Warning-Light-Unit-T...

Peter I have a pair in VGC, along with SS brackets and knurled locking nuts.
One lens has a very slight crack.
Will phot them when I get back Home
Mark do you have any brackets and locking nuts to sell on their own?

Gear Stick

I would suggest a good percentage of snapped gearsticks are due to drivers having difficulty in selecting gears due to wear in the linkage between the remote gearlever and the gearbox. Another sign of linkage wear is a widening of the alloy housing either side of the gearstick, again a result of a d...

How does the overdrive switch attach to the dash?

you are missing the below plate that fits behind the dash, it isn't fixed to the dash it sits between the switch and the rear of the dash, this is pulled towards the dash by a slim round nut.

the one listed on face book is from a very early 5 gearbox, it won't fit if you have a remote gearlever which would be regarded as the later box. The scimitar dealers may have one I know GW had some secondhand ones but they might seem expensive to some. If you have a later box I will have a spare ge...
