Tyres Pneus Online

I bought from them twice ( delivery in Belgium at fitters of my choice) no problem at all. Very good prices. Bought Continental 165x15 a tyre with a very good reputation over here.

Sabre/Sabra Weekend August 2018

Hallo Chris, Tony, Thanks for the nice pictures and comments. On Sunday morning there were 14 Sabra/es, very nice; the two Scimitars were welcome too of course. I am already looking forward to next year's jubileum meeting, the 20th one. Your pictures are a wake up call for all Sabra Sabre owners to ...

door handle retainers

Hello, Yes, as Roymck says they are in two parts ; it is the small part I cal the retainer and the rims are so small ( and damaged now) that the handle comes out of it. I knew the website you mention. I have asked them if they sell those retainers a part from the complete set. No answer yet, but whe...

door handle retainers

Thank you for the suggestion. It is about the outside door handles. There are probably the same on all sabre's and sabra's. Only fixed with 1 bolt in te door and slid into a small triangular retainer on the other side. When door is resistant the handle comes out of the retainer quite easily. I attac...

door handle retainers

Hello, Problem with the door handles retainers on Sabra GT 4808 . Door handles come off , and out of the retainers, I think because of the car expanding (!!) in this Summer's heat and doors squeesing. Anyone has two retainers for sale, on 4808 the "zamac" metal broke. I think of reinforcing the hand...

brakes getting stucked

Hello,
I totally agree. See also my other thread about refusing to fire up. Also solved.
Unfortunately it is not always like that. Then it means rethinking, but that's part of the fun.
Kind regards,
Jacques

difficult fire up when warm

Hello, Strange I got no reply. Was is too easy for you guys? Or too difficult (well.... that I doubt)? Anyway it is solved. I found a thrid coil in one of my boxes, not a new one, but this one does the job. The car now starts under all circumstances, Coldn warm, very hot, after a short cut off, afte...

brakes getting stucked

Problem solved. I got the master cylinder out and it was a bit rusty/dirty were the plunger begins, so the part where the push rod pushes. I cleaned and checked and no damages inside the master cylinder's body. I changed the seals, etc and evrything works and after a test drive with a lot of braking...

brakes getting stucked

Hello,
Quick reply.
There is no servo, everything as per Original set up.

There is no extra device at the brake lights hydraulic switch on the left front chassis member.

I wait for some more info , then attack the master cylinder.

difficult fire up when warm

Hello, me again... Not only the brakes cause a problem but also this firing up problem. Known already by me for a few years !!! now decided to get rid of the problem. The car starts and fires up immediately when cold. Ignition is ok , carb is a single Zenith ( original on Sabra). As long as I keep t...

brakes getting stucked

Hello, I have a problem at the brakes, and I need the wisdom.... After winter stop , already in 2017, I had on the first trip the brakes beginning to foul the drums/disks and getting warm till it was impossible to move the car. Once cooled everything was back to normal and all Summer was ok. This ye...

low oil pressure

To answer your question about the oil I used. I had put in 15/40 Total classic. Now was decided for a SAE 20/50 mineral ( according to the shop classic low or no detergent ) . I must say I thought all multigrade oils were detergent .... I will see and check regularly. Kind regards, Jacques PS On my ...

low oil pressure

Hello all, Problem solved. As you guys suggested it was a lot of sludge. Once the sump was off , about 1/2 cm ( 1/4") of thick sticky slugde was removed; the pick up mesh/pipe was cleaned and with new oil the oil pressure immediately went to 50 psi and when warm and driving it stayed at 40/45 psi. A...

low oil pressure

Hello, Sabra 4808 was fitted with another engine, had been "resting" for odd 40 years. Oil pressure was excellent, +/-50 psi , less on idle ( identical to my other Sabras). After some 600 kms oil pressure start getting low(er). Now 30 psi when running/revving and nearly at the 0 on the oil pressure ...
