Full cage for an se5a

I think GavinR fitted a Escort one iirc?

Most compies have had theirs made.

On our cars we used a company called Gartrac to supply and bend the pipe to angles we wanted.

551 A race oddity

What’s the plan? Build one engine out of the best bits left or new pistons and rods etc?

Rat Rod (Broken down)

I thought you were running a leccy pump ??, not just the mechanical?? Nope just the mechanical pump, I was given a leccy pump a few years ago. I have toyed with the idea of fitting it just to prime the system when she's been sat for a while. For diagnosing purposes try bypassing your mechanical pum...

I don’t think you could go wrong with either, I would see what your tuner prefers. No point paying them to learn a new interface.

Does your set up have/have provision for knock sensors?

Gutting but predictable I suppose, good luck mate.

Corky's Scimitars and other short stories

Just been looking at s/h wiring looms on eBay. I think one from a Corsa C may yield enough cable and plugs to make one up for my car. They're around £30 a pop, instead of £280 for a custom new one. Does anyone know which crimp/connectors I need to add extra cables to the main emerald plug/block. Yo...

Stainless branch manifolds blowing

A decent flex joint is a good idea and probably the best solution.

Don’t forget the original exhaust and many of the tubular sets that have been available over the years didn’t have flex joints.

Jc, did you put many miles in after you’d welded them
About 75k over the last decade on that car. Agreed it’s a PITA that you have to.

Another set on a different car didn’t blow but “clicked” every time you took up drive or hit a bump. Again welding cured.

I’ve had a few sets over the years with that knuckle joint that leaks, ended up welding the knuckle a few times to be honest.
