BMW325i anyone ?

Assuming it eventually runs OK and gets an MOT,it doesn't appear a lot different from examples on C and C priced around £20K...

Car SOS

When Mike Brewer was judging the concours at the Silverstone Classic a couple of years ago, we tackled him about it, and he said that they would love to do one, but whenever they looked at it, they weren't able to work out a way of making it viable (even using the way they cost things, which isn't ...

Car SOS

I find it a matter of regret that neither Wheeler Dealers or Car SOS have done a Scimitar (of any type)...yet both have done a Morris Minor,a popular car in it's day but also a rather boring one.

GTC No.1 for sale

...and the bodged bonnet hinges, engine bay paintwork, strange aerial type thing on the OS wing, tired interior etc  Still think I'm going to have a look though. And as for mine, watch this space :) I did spot the bonnet hinges, etc. I look forward to seeing yours when you have it completed to ...

GTC No.1 for sale

Isn't the simple solution to ask for forgiveness when you buy it? As nice as the C is, the Coupe looks much more interesting 8) That Coupe does look a nice example (apart from the hideous steering wheel!) Josh,I'm sure you will view the auction result with interest, as it will give you some guidanc...

Mikeys / Greenys / Colin Watson v8 Coupe

Paint job seems to be holding up well.

How long has it been done?

(It looks very like a colour I experimented with in my youth...because it had a cool name--"Rolls Royce Regal Red.")

Yes, as Jim says, 185/80HRx14 are very scarce - the only commonly available one that I'm aware of is the Vredestein Sprint Classic. A more popular general choice seems to be 195/70HRx14 (assuming standard wheels/usage).
Michelin MXV-P are available.... at £162 each.

Tyres

My car had 195 70HR 14's on the front and wider 70HR 14's on the back a typical solution my mechanic says I had no problem getting 185x80HR14's, in fact, they were the cheapest, not £50 a corner. I might put 205x80HR14's on the back next as the 80HR14's make the speedo read right The only "cheap" 1...

1985 SE6B 24v Cosworth 2.9 FOR SALE

It’s £10k less than an equivalent Middlebridge, so I don’t think originality is that vital. I was talking to Graham Walker yesterday and he’s confident the values are rising - confident enough to sink c£20-40k into a rebuild of his own, as well as building a customer car for similar money AND havin...

March 2019 issue of Classic & Sports Car magazine, Scimitar content

Blimey, unusual me being challenged as too young! Guess that's a back handed compliment, you old guard are blamed for enough, so going for the weird plastic car option yet another example of the drugs all you 60s hipsters did I guess and should be forgiven... I remember well what I wa...

March 2019 issue of Classic & Sports Car magazine, Scimitar content

It's demand mainly. Many more people owned capris in their yoof, hence there's a greater number of 'potential' owners for the few remaining capris left, hence they demand higher price. The scimitar was a low volume niche car when new, so pro rata smaller current market. Other thing was reliant have...

Coupe exhaust manifolds needed

Anyone in the midlands wanting manifolds could enquire here:

https://www.pdgough.com/

Can't say they will be cheap, but they have a lifetime guarantee. They made a custom stainless high quality system for me,including tubular manifolds, a long time ago, pleased to see they are still in business.

Tyre choice?

Of those two I would pick the Hankook ones.

A rated wet grip and seem to have the better reviews.

...and for the rear of an MR2 I think you want the best grip you can get!

(MR2s are great cars, had several in the past.)
