the base plate of the accuspark is a connection to earth via the magnetic trigger sensor circuit inside the module (the module senses the magnetic rotor six times per rev for the v6 )

No thats just the negative trigger return the módule still needs the dizzy earth to function

the accuspark does need a good earths its an electronic circuit so will need a good earth return.

I am with ajl do a hot wire check this will rule the ignition switch and check the dizzy earth has suggested by peter

my scim was free (not inc getting it on the road though) I have just bought a 1974 Yamaha 125 with a blown big end for £100 (otherwise unmolested ) I never thought I would see the day I bought another jap bike but I liked the look of it and just like the fords there are very few left in the conditio...

A spark tester would. Be a clear visual check lf. Was ignition fault

I drive my scim SE5A every day all year round. I have never had vaporization problems due to heat (when I fitted an electric fuel pump I had the problem you are experiencing. However it turned out to be the fuel pump was a pushing pump and not a pulling pump) so it was fitted in the rear cubby hole ...

i use the inline spark checkers(one per cylinder ) if I have any problems (I had to buy two sets as they only sell them for 4 cylinder cars )
