1977 scimitar gte Breaking

Like the idea of something a little different ! You can get a grp Mini outer bodyshell ! Use the Scimitar grp floorpan and bond to the new outer skin. Would save a lot of time making up new mounts. SE6 chassis for length and maybe use a SE5 axle as it is narrower and will hug the narrow Mini shell b...

Another thing - does the steel strip along the bottom of the wall serve any useful purpose other than holding the ply in place? It only goes as far as the triangular brace on the passenger side.. Is it the steel strip that goes all the way to the back seat belt area - sandwich in the floorpan. Also...

Pull the old wiper system out and fit a modern unit.
It'll look better, park better and work better.

Let all that heat out.
Just some grp work to fill in the sides as you still use the bonnet flap.
Worth a try with your old bonnet.

Like your idea of a better flush type screen and those opening rear side windows 10/10
Those original screen rubbers do bulge out a bit .

Constructive crticism - not keen on the bonnet.
Can you slice the bonnet bulges and raise the rear portion an inch to vent
