LRP 335E Sprint Coupe

It needs a bit of cosmetic work but I’m finally swaying towards the ‘it doesn’t matter what it looks like it’s a race car’ mentality... but it’s not easy convincing myself that nobody really cares or will judge me if it’s not perfect!! Needs an LSD axle really, but chances of finding a second ...

LRP 335E Sprint Coupe

Ok, so today’s acquisition turned out to be more of a 90% completed upgrade/restoration than an engine donor to be sorted at a later date... This causes a dilemma, as the car is pretty much a good road going spec sprint car as it stands, so rather than take the engine out and do a temporary fix to g...

Ha, it’s starting to come back to me, there’d been a sunroof and you could see the join so I flowcoated it.. Should be ok if I’ve done it before

XRF 976H ex Reliant press car

I've been toying with the idea of taking a mould of my new 5a and making a whole new roof... But after having another look last night, I think removing all the cracked gel coat (all of it) and putting another layer of fine matting on there before flowcoating may be the best option??

LRP 335E Sprint Coupe

the idea is to be speedy in getting it back out there, probably not that speedy performance wise

But strangely could be a lot better on handicap...

Cheers Craig, I'll get there one day

LRP 335E Sprint Coupe

I have a decent engine coming (attached to a 5a  ) and the plan is to swap to that in the short term and build a full race Essex over the winter.

Speed Six Coupe

That's a shame as this was an awesome car. I think TVR went a step too far in deciding to produce their own bespoke engines and gearboxes. Made some awesome cars but the reliability seems to have been awful. One thing you could compete in with an engine swap would be Classic & Retro Time Attack ? I...

Coupe steering wheel boss

I had a Mountney on my Coupe and I'm pretty sure it's hanging from the workshop roof with the boss still attached. I'm not going to be able to have a look for a couple of days but I'll get back to you if I have it.

As Frodo Monkey said, it was a scorcher on Saturday. I was racing the Marcos I share with Iain Daniels, on the Silverstone International circuit. It's the same race meeting I'd hoped to get the SS1 ready for (but failed). We were in the garages next to Phil Otley's SE5 20180505_114817.jpg 20180506_...
