LRP 335E Sprint Coupe

It’s the furthest forward one.. It’s possible the Essex might go that far back as the bell housing is longer, and it would save getting another prop done too. I’ll give it a go before doing anything with the box

I need to decide what gearbox to use too??
The T5 you already have, with a new bellhousing.
Lever would be way too far forward or engine too far back?

Or the one hanging off the end of a Ric Wood engine, that already has the right bell housing...
I tried that route but he won’t sell, unless you know of another??

The Green Machine - Sprint Car Build

We, hang on, what have I missed??!! You built another car to compete whilst the Coupe sulked, and now you are gonna flog it leaving you with a Coupe and an engine you've lost the love for, or a winter's work to graft a boat anchor back in there, yes? You been sniffing the petrol fumes again Mr T? :...

LRP 335E Sprint Coupe

A Merlin has been mentioned

The engine is so long, it was a challenge getting it out with the box attached using the engine crane! Now I remember why it was easier to take the body off!!

The Green Machine - Sprint Car Build

More miles in the GTE this morning after tweaking the set up a little, it really is quick! I doubted the figure the previous owner quoted for the engine, but it definitely feels like 180hp 8) there’s a bit to finish on the car and it will probably be for sale then. 229EEE33-3769-4E16-9D6E-AC5866CAD5...

LRP 335E Sprint Coupe

The Coupe has been awoken from it’s sleep and the TVR engine and box are out.. As you can see there’s a fair bit of work on the n/s tunnel and bulkhead required to bring it back to where it should be for the Essex. I need to decide what gearbox to use too?? 69AEC521-F736-410B-BAB1-BC645BA43513.jpeg ...

Can you not reason with the TVR lump in the Coupe now that you have a ready and willing alternative?

It might be less inclined to throw a wobbly if it isn't always guaranteed centre of attention.
The psychological approach... I like it! And that had crossed my mind, albeit briefly...

Problem is I’ve missed the season and now have 2 sprint cars Well done. Well, you'll have a choice of which one not to use next year... Presumably the Green machine is pretty much good to go, so you can use that as & when, which will give you a bit of enthusiam for working on the coupe (when this o...

I’d be confident of running in specialist modified, no problem at all..
I’ve looked everywhere including msa online and blue book but can’t see it. What chapter are the regs, cheers
It’s in section K from memory, there’s two pages of class regs..

Is that the same class as Stryker spider etc. The lunatic stuff.
Afraid so, as I found, an engine swop is very very limiting to what you can do in sprinting and racing. Any option you have tends to put you up against a completely different class of car
