I'll try to grab some photos this weekend as they're at a lockup garage a few miles away. Photos showing them when they were on the car just to make sure they are the type your looking for: http://www.industrialbritain.co.uk/forumstuff/ss1/15.jpg http://www.industrialbritain.co.uk/forumstuff/ss1/17....

The Golden Coupe

Hi Roy,

Just been catching up with this thread and was sorry to read of your health concerns. It must be really tough to part with something half done!

Hope the Coupé finds a caring new home to carry on your good work.

Best Wishes

A warning to use all - especially the youngsters

The really terrible thing about these scams is that very few of them get investigated and prosecuted. The Police response for this type of crime is sadly totally lacking. Though I lay the blame for this squarely with the government policy and cutbacks rather than officers themselves. The whole syste...

Should i burn in hell?

There have been a few diesel Scimitars conversions in the past, though there don't seem to be many on the road and in day to day use... :w . For the sake of the enviroment perhaps thats a good thing! With the upcoming ULEZ restrictions on Diesel cars I'd think carefully about its future use. With a ...

Making a T5 speedometer drive. Last month the TVR T5 gearbox went off to Dave on the island. The plan was for him to have a look at machining the mainshaft to allow us to mount the speedo drive gear in the right place for the Cosworth tailshaft. As well as turning up a new speedo drive body which w...

I fitted a second hand one off an MG midget 1500 during my rebuild in 2011, (my car is also a 1972 5a.) I Bought the switch via ebay. I used the whole unit, Steering Lock, Barrel and key. The Lucas ignition switch fits into the back and is retained by a small screw. On very late 5a's (1975) the the ...

Tailgate lock was also used on the Bond Bug as a canopy handle. I can't think of another big manafacturer that used that part, Lotus possibly? All the exterior locks and handles were Willmot Breeden Products (they made most locks and handles for the uk car manufacturers.) The company still trade as ...
