Peter have you tried a battery jump lead from battery negative terminal to major metal such as engine or bellhousing? This fault affecting so many components points to a bad earth.

Is a 5A improved over a 5 ?

The rest of the interior of the 5 is more robust. Doorcards are fibreglass as are the long interior side panels compared to plastic long panels on 5a.The gearbox of the 5 and some very early 5a was sourced from the Ford Zodiac not as good as the later box with better 2nd gear ratio. Gearchange is di...

What a superb picture. Is this your car or a photo taken at an event. Daimler V8 looks very much at home there.

The first 500 SE5,s

How to tell if I have the correct front or not? Looking at your car it appears to have a moulded horizontal ribs where the grille slats fit. Your front end is 5. On the 5a that area is flat to take a chrome one piece grille. I had chassis number 543 and was never aware of front end differences on t...

Door Trim Panels 6 series & GTC

I have a pair of black interior door trim panels which will fit the 6 series cars and GTC. They are used. The drivers side one will require a door pocket transferring from a scrap item. A fairly simple task as these are riveted in place. The drivers side one has a factory cut hole for a mechanically...

which model of TVR did you convert to EPAS ? I have a non PAS 350i and have considered a PAS conversion however EPAS may be an alternative worth considering.

Squeaky rubber

Try dusting the rubbers with talcum powder. I know it may sound daft but it does work. I read this tip some time ago and know that it does the job

Two Scimitars and a Calibra

I have been in this situation with non Scimitar cars of the current era (Toyota Mercedes, Renault, Land Rover), and locating components / faults is hard work. Have you trawled any other forums- Opel /Vauxhall based, or even U tube ? Apologies if you have already tried, but if you have not give it a ...
