With the white revolutions, is the body going to end up gloss white, with a satin black bonnet in homage to your 1st sprint GTE?
Definitely gloss white and the black bonnet has crossed my mind.. Trying to suppress the urge to drop a bigger engine in at the moment
I’ve a spare 3.2...

thank you. the coil packs on the 3.2 are integral per cylinder bank. Three in a row and joined up into one piece, that you push in to all three spark plug housings. They are genuine oem (bosch), but that might be the problem as they are probably as old as the engine, 10 years plus. The first instanc...

Performance is fantastic, cruises easily over three figures. At this rate I’ll be banned within a month. Anyways I have an annoying but strong misfire at low revs. Gets worse over the duration of the 60m trip to work. Hence why I need to drive faster. Seriously any ideas. Do coil pack...

Copper pipe for fuel. Seems common sense. It’s bit of a phaff bending but a rubber mallet to take out the tension works wonders

The heated windscreen works great, the vw wiper system is a godsend, speed is wrong, it’s flat out so the wipers are flicking back and forth like a tennis match on steroids, but the action is so smooth, you don’t notice as there is no noise either. Teething issues, the suspension is pants, all top b...

So I’ve achieved what I set out to; a fast exciting road car, comfortable but capable. This week I’ve driven about 800 miles. Not all in the scim, but two long drives. I’ve just completed a 180 mile drive in her, of which 100 miles in the dry ish. Averaged 90mph, 23mpg on lpg. played with a very tid...

Type 5 with a hydraulic concentric clutch cylinder

I converted the type 5 from short input shaft / coupe bellhousing to long input shaft, 5a bellhousing. This then matched the type 9 and so i had long input on both boxes and they literally replaced eachother at will. Kept the same pedal box, clutch cable, prop, etc etc
