Engine Height in the chassis

Hiya

does anyone have easy access to an se5 or 6 to see if the engine sump shows below the chassis rails. IE if you were unlucky to run over a brick or sumething similar tall enough, would it clout the sump or is it tucked up out of the way ? cheers

Mikey Bikeys LPG, Fully Disked up, Se5a

Thanks. I've actually taken the engine out to replace with the omega engine so its was just a thought but its clear its been a constant issue throughout my life with the engine.

Mikey Bikeys LPG, Fully Disked up, Se5a

After the perranporth drag race I dropped the gearbox and the spigot bearing fell out, again. This has been a repeating issue, regardless of gearbox or clutch.

Maybe 6-7 times. 3 different bearings.

Any ideas

Proposed Drives Meeting January

I will try to attend. It’s a long way for me, that’s all. Would be nice to see a few faces but getting out and sprinting would achieve that. As a minimum, and this could be done remotely, I think any feedback from those competing in both would be useful, especially after this first year. We’ve had s...

Shhhhh.

I already qualify for classic car insurance policies, we can stop counting birthdays now!

Woolly jumper, book on the local history and a quality pair of safety glasses. More like 72 than 27!

but did you actually ask for them as presents.....

Not too much progress. A lot of time readying the ecu / wiring handbook. Its really quite straightforward once you get your head around it . Most sensors have a 5v supply and a signal wire and then Earth return. All to the ecu. Then the ecu has a decent power supply and earth and Bob's your Daddies ...

ECU Wiring Final few wiring queries Sensors ~ Throttle position (oem omega) ~ Crank (oem omega) ~ TMAP (Air Temp combined with MAP). Its bosch / mini one. ~ Coolant Temp ((oem omega) Power. I think they all require 5V Power supply. The ECU has a 5v output so the two are aligned but what colour wire ...

Guys, can anyone recommend repair kits for the girling remote servo as fitted to the 5. I have two original servos, just debating whether to recondition what I have rather than butcher the engine bay trying to get the new land rover inline one, in place

No progress Sunday, ended up changing the rear disks , pads and freeing off the calipers on my daughters mini !! Calipers were ok, once I realised what I needed to do to get the pistons out. Better than replacing £300 !!!! Anyways looked at the wiring last night. I love wiring, but the OCD in me wan...
