Yes Epoxy is the way forward as a first coat - I tend to use the Marine stuff rather than automotive, but it's all pretty good at its job

The original was far more green than it looks on any of these pics anyway.....well it was to my eyes :)
The new colour is a subtle improvement, and the 10 layers of paint removed and associated weight will make it faster

It's going to be a Porsche Emerald green now :) More green than it's previous shades, but a very nice colour IMO and probably period to its change to green in the first place

The car has been about 3 different shades of green, but is so badly deteriorated it can't even be scanned to get a match. First time it was green it was on the darker side of the range suggested here. The more recent touch ups are not even close. Trouble is it needs to be a colour we can get a name ...

taken a while to get to the point of paint, did not fully realise how bad my bulging sills were !! all done, first proper qoute in........... brace yourselves.............. for a show standard finish not including engine bay................. £6k !! and to add insult that's plus VAT....................
