Non starting Essex

Thanks Phil.

Bingo - Hole in 1 !!!

It was the ballast resistor that I had disconnected accidentally when cleaning around the wiper motor.
Motto - Don't clean your engine bay it only causes grief !!!!

Thanks again

Can anyone help me

On my SE6A Essex, there is a fitting between the carburettor and bulkhead with 2 small bore outlets ( 1 above the other) . It sits just behind the servo vacuum fitting.

What does this fitting do and what should it connect to as its not connected to anything at the moment ?

Steering Notchy on LH side

Dennis:- After doing a left hand turn the steering wouldn't self-centre and suspect the rough steering felt as I turned the steering wheel was due to the tyre fighting ( scrubbing?) to try and keep on going left when the RH tyre was self-centring as normal. It was only the LH side that was toeing ou...

Steering Notchy on LH side

Success Success Success !!!! For anyone still interested. It turned out to be just a tracking issue after all, I think that by fitting new bushes the old settled stance had changed and so had the geometry. So first prize goes to Terry H. Thanks for all the help fellas, much appreciated Cheers Dave :)

Steering Notchy on LH side

Thanks for the hints, I would be surprised if the reconditioned rack is faulty, but you never know.
I'll first try disconnecting the LH ball-joint and check the trunnion/link on that side.
Funny that it was OK before the rebuild???
