Not secure?

Erik has passed this to me for attention. The server is secured by a valid certificate and can be accessed securely using the https protocol. Some menu items have been inconsistent in this respect and I have just corrected those to all use https. Other links throughout the site may be either https o...

5a Door Hinges

Thanks MadMax. I can see that now. Those blower motor panels are also a pain to remove because of the way they are "nailed" in! Oh well, I'm too far into the job to stop now.

Speedy's paint job is too good for me to contemplate going to those lengths! I can't afford to have it done again. :(

5a Door Hinges

I've had to remove a hinge from the A-post to replace the pin. After total failure with an impact driver I very carefully drilled the screw heads out expecting to then have to drill out and clean up threads in captive nuts. I was surprised to find no captive nuts, instead a penny washer, plain washe...

There were a lot of people doing a lot of different things with different approaches, just nothing I could find that fitted our requirements. Since then the trend towards more and more mobile access has focuused development into a more consistent track. My earlier work didn't consider mobile access ...

If I read it another way, “Home” now means the homepage- “Board Index” is now the start of the forum. Yep. The start of the forum has always been "Board Index" on the breadcrumb menus. A link to the homepage has now been added to those breadcrumb menus. The top menu has the same functionallity as t...

When I click on the home page now I get the page shown in the picture.
From that page I can no longer see this site .
This is how the new menu system appears on mobiles as it is designed to be mobile friendly. Just tap the Navigation panel to see the menu in dropdown form.

BTW the breadcrumb menu has also slightly changed, with a link to the homepage in front of the Board Index link.

Well, that bit of work went more quickly and more smoothly than expected. :D I wish work on the car would go that way! The new top menu is in place and shouldn't change for a while unless unexpected problems are reported. The next stage is to apply the same style to the wiki and shop pages but that ...

You may notice over the next few weeks that the appearance of the ScimitarWeb header and menus change. Oh no, not change, I can't cope :hand: For a while there will be two top level tab menus visible at the same time, the existing one and a new one. This is to enable thorough trouble shooting of the...

Thanks both. I've been able to reproduce it myself so diagnosis shouldn't be a problem. Fixing it could be though! Give me a few days and nudge me if its not sorted.

I had intended to do this work in two stages with only the server upgrade being done today and the forum upgrade later. The server upgrade completed on the second attempt after some minor intervention in less than 30 mins. :D I decided to ride my luck and do the upgrade of the forum software whilst ...

Well, its done but not complete. You should be able to post as usual now but for a while some images will be missing and it might be slow until the caching catches up with itself. Any other problems please let me know here.
