Coupe chassis or drawings

At the front of the Coupe workshop manual (was available through the club) is a chassis schematic with dimensions for checking squareness. That's all the guys who rebuilt my chassis used.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's a sticky on here somewhere.

Two tone brown GTC Farnborough

Long time club member, and owner of two Scimitars. Regular at the Berkshire noggin. Not sure if he is on here very often though.

SE4 wire wheel hub adaptor nuts

Just looked on Moss for MG parts, and they have the right profile nuts too. Might want to check it's the correct thread.

Personally, I wouldn't use a normal nut.

Inertia reel seat belts in rear of GTC

Middlebridge never made a GTC :W But if you mean I the GTE, I don’t think they offered rear inertia belts or improved the late 6a/6b upper mounting point? Yeah, ok I walked into that. Could have phrased it better  I did mean whether they had done something to upgrade the rear belts, as by the ...

Inertia reel seat belts in rear of GTC

Out of curiosity, was it one of the 400 odd Middlebridge improvements?

Inertia reel seat belts in rear of GTC

I'm not aware of anyone who has done this, but stand to be corrected :) As they are lap belts, the mountings are low down, and there isn't a lot of room to fit a two-point inertia reel without a fair amount of modification. There isn't an upper mounting to make a three-point belt mounting, but I sup...

Mikeys / Greenys / Colin Watson v8 Coupe

On seats, I'll ask Geoff Richards which are the ones he's just fitted to his Coupe. They are a bit taller in the seat base, so if you are anything over 5'10"ish thoughts on lowering the floor will probably come to mind. But on the other hand, they were very comfortable too/from Curbs this year. Guy ...

Basingstoke – Yellow SE6a...

Spotted this afternoon coming from Old Basing, under the railway bridge towards the industrial estate. Too dark under the bridge to see the driver :?

Only one pic of HEG 387D, without date but almost certainly after 1988.
Have you one of it finished 8) ?
Thanks Chris. That's one of my pics, circa 2010-11, before I set about paint stripping. Not finished yet

FYM 306C was perfectly normal, one reg number before but two chassis numbers after ...
Accepting the slightly odd grille treatment of course :)
Although that's probably an owner modification.

Have you anything on HEG 387D, pre 1988 (which is when I acquired it)

What's the possibility of your engine being different due to its rally heritage?
And if so, different seal materials?
Just a thought...

Straight Six rear crank seal

Josh beat me to it  Found a spare I have, and as Josh said it's a graphite impregnated two piece rope seal. Looking at the manual as well, I can't see how it can be replaced without dropping the crank as the seal sits in the main bearing cap, and as it's two pieces, you need to align it careful...

Who's is the GTC ?

Had a Spitfire fly over the noggin BBQ yesterday afternoon at chez Unwin. Assumed it may have come from White Waltham.

GTC at Auction Saturday 25 Aug

As has just been pointed out to me  it's now a manual. The vin number is for an Auto and the paper register confirms original build.
