Shooting Brakes

Did we know there existed a Triumph TR6 GTE?
Well two actually but one of them is decidedly more successful than the other ...

Edit, just had another look and the second one is probably (badly) Photoshopped.

Coupe Build From Australia

Original gutters are rather makeshift.
I reseated mine with Sikaflex but the door frame tends to touch the rivets.
Rivets in fibreglass, sometimes I wonder if Reliant knew what they were doing

Body looks good ...

Two Scimitars and a Calibra

Didn't get a notification of your last post Phil. Anyway, I've been waiting two weeks for the relay. I highly recommend ABH Kent who put it in the post same day, the Post Office got it to France in two days and then la Poste couldn't remember where Antibes was. It finally took me about three minutes...

Bogging at 4000 rpm

I can't remember, it's been going on so long (and I get confused with my two other cars which have not been working properly  ) I've nothing to measure the pressure but I seem to think I checked petrol was passing and commented that it didn't seem a very strong flow. There is a pressure regula...

Bogging at 4000 rpm

After that brief excursion into fantasy land (they are refunding me even my return postage :-) ) I tried to adjust the throttle plates, but either I don't understand the instructions, which is quite likely, or they are already at ground zero. The operating lever wasn't even touching the throttle sto...

I took the choke heater off and put a spring on the operating lever to hold it in place. I was thus able to adjust the choke throttle advance without the damn thing heating up and unadjusting itself. Put it back together and it works more or less as intended, but the choke seems to heat up almost in...

Wow, I didn't know Vauxhall were marketing the Holden Monaro in the UK.
That is a serious and almost good-looking car.

Yes, the manual says you should bend that (really) But I think it would be worse if I bent it back ... To explain the operation Left hand pivot simple, open the throttle, it turns clockwise. Right hand pivot when cold, choke bi-metal spring pushes clockwise, closing butterflies and keeping c...
