Interesting. i had 2sets of the hydraulic ramps to get all 4 wheels up, replaced with @ scissor lift from bhrepairs delivered the Costco one compare seems lightweight, mine weighs 450kg as my left foot will attest to but it’s great with a 48 inch lift height lifts my 6 a with ease

Having read this weeks auto express article on pump labels what am I missing? If normal E5 unleaded has 5% ethanol and E10 has 10% and super duper unleaded doesn’t have to have any why should we worry about garages being made to keep a supply of E5 when we can simply use super, given average annual ...

As you correctly say,photos and words plus something lost in my description,,, the clip I’m on about Is the one that fits onto the bracket the otter switch goes into and then supposed to clip over the edge of the rad. clip does an excellent impersonation of a dizzie cap clip. Thanks Jim but I’m struggling to get the clip to hook over the edge of the rad as there is no lip for it to hook over hence my thought to blank it

Well eventually got my 6A started today after delays niggles and general laziness. Thanks, that spring has been on the car for 21 years I’ve owned the car so new 1 that is correct now ordered. The pipe is attached onto a stub at the back of the carb to a stub on the side (& yes it’s been pointed out the W spacer is 180 degrees out :oops: :oops: )

Help, after a lot of messing about I’ve now got my 79a auto almost road ready, fuel started dribbling off the accelerator diaphragm so new fitted this morning, manual choke conversion now working properly for the first time since I installed it in 2000, but ca started for a few seconds at 3000rpm ! ...

Soooo, got the beastie to run for 30 seconds whoopee until i spotted fuel dripping from the ‘Accelerator’pump diaphragm on the carb, she is 40 years old don’t forget.. can I buy this separately and if so where or do I need to shell out £20 for a service kit????
