ford type 9 clutch cable adjustment

Does anyone know the gap between the 2 adjuster nuts and the bell housing on a type 9 gearbox? I cant find a measurement for the SS1 but for the Morgan with the same gearbox it's 0.01 inch so does that apply. Thanks Steve

Got the gear box out but broke the glass refitting. It was a stick on one and was bigger so I tried to release it to get to the screw underneath. The question I've get is I believe the units where from the Capri so will the capri replacement glass fit? The gear box now works OK but no glass. Thanks ...

Off side SS1 door morror

Opps us Yorkshire lads all brawn no brains. I'll give it another go, and yes I might need another mirror if I continue as I am now. The thing is I can adjust the mirror by hand left to right and the motor adjusts it up and down and the mirror body is OK so maybe I should be happy with what I've got ...

Off side SS1 door morror

Thanks for your replies. I've tried to pry it off but it looks like it's had a stick on mirror put over a broken glass. So I'am thinking It's had a knock at some time and the base plate could have been glued in because I've pulled it pretty hard, certainly hard enough to pull it out of it's pivot pl...

One more SS1 onthe road..

First of all I would like to thank the members who gave me help and advice when I was working on the car. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL. It's now on the road MOT'd and taxed although it cost more to tax than my motorhome but it's fair to say it's more fun on the road. Here's a couple of pics so if you see ...

Fuel hoses again!

HI, I've just replaced the said pipes. I ordered 1mtr 12mmx18mm, 1mtr 8mm x 13mm, 1mtr 6mm x 11mm, which came to about £12. As said before the 8x13 pipe fits on the top of the one way valve you can just see it in your second pic with a small piece of tube still attached [Just undo the 2 self tappers...

The kit arrived and I fitted the seals no problems. The seal numbers in the kit appear to match the original seals.

SS1 Lockheed Brake Master Cylinder

Just an update to my post. I spoke to a gentleman at Northern Components Ltd who after about an hour of cross referencing Lockheed parts books came back with the seal kit for the SS1 [SSB 1209] very rare or no longer available, however he checked the seal part numbers and SSB 1220 has all the main i...
