Seized clutch friction plate?

When you mention the wood, I guess you use that to depress the clutch during winter storage? Yes, sorry was in a rush when I typed the reply, flat piece of something to spread the load against the squab/backrest, then long piece of 1 X 1 cut to press the clutch peddle down and butt against the flat...

SST, SABRE, REAR LIGHTS FOR SALE.

One pair of refurbished rear lights for SST/Sabre. Lock nuts removed and mounting threads all cleaned up, new SS clamps and Knurled locknuts fitted. Makes fitting them a lot easier than messing around with a 10mm AF spanner. One lens has a slight crack in the reversing window, but no light shows thr...

Seized clutch friction plate?

Get the car up to temperature, this sometimes helps free the plates. If it don`t pop off on its own, then when its hot turn it off, select 3rd or reverse, handbrake ON, Feet on Brakes and Clutch, and try starting it again. Usually comes off with a bang. I have a long stick and a piece of wood in the...

Essex race engine or parts

Oh and I should say I’ve moved - now near Chepstow rather than near Luke in deepest darkest Lincs... Nearly opposite side of country  Pistons are +40 and +60. I think the +60 already have rods fitted. ALL come with Pins and rings. Can`t remember what I paid so will have to do some digging on ...

5/5a Metal Bracket / u channel in nose section

Hi Joe

Yes I can remake them either in mild steel or preferably zintec as I still have a very large 8x4 sheet still in stock.
#12 is a bit complicated, but can still be done.
How quick do you want them?.

Essex race engine or parts

Hi fm I have a few good Essex blocks and a few sets of NOS Powermax piston sets. And a few good cams that could be reground. I will at some point have to call and collect the GTC chassis and body that I bought from Luke over a year ago so could possibly bring down the lumps of cast iron I have??. Mark

40 DFAV Vs 38 DGAS air filter requirement

No Roy
It depends upon the Hot Air enrichment settings, AND if your going for the very latest Dgas using an electrick choke as on the Cologne Pierburg.
They all have different take off types/pipes.

40 DFAV Vs 38 DGAS air filter requirement

Hi Roy
I have a few old 38Dgas filter boxes and lots of New Original Ford filters to suit.
There are Three main types of 38Dgas available though.
So depending upon which type you chose would dictate which housing you needed.

Just my tuppence worth.

Wanted. Head restraints, Electric window switches

Hi Sarecen
I have a few tan headrests in Velour, there were a few combinations of tan colours, both in the velour and the vinyl.
I also have a few window switches in good working order, plus lots of the outer surounds that clip the units into place.
Where are you?.

Alternative Coupé register ;-)

You are correct Chris.
The guy who I bought the parts from is indeed a Wilson, just forget his first name, and we are NOT related LOL.
Judging by the Tamworth phone number the Original owner probably bought it straight out of the factory!!,

Alternative Coupé register ;-)

Recently I was contacted by a Gent who lives fairly close to me, he was having a clearout of a shed and found some parts from a Coupe his father used to own until the owners/council of his fathers garage decided to pull it down for houses. IIRC he said the council did not get in touch with his fathe...

MB Wing mirrors

On the chrome type I dip the lenses in Cellulose Thinners and it takes about an hour for the glass to be gently pried off the backing mount.
On the MB I suspect there may be a plastic melting problem, as Peter says some of the propriety glue remover may work too.
