Looks like Ford gasket, AND whoever did the work did it well, as the Blue Hylomar proves.

Mark The lights ARE handed, BUT this is only to ensure the drain/vent holes go to the bottom. There is a very easy fix to make them universal, it involves knocking out the pip in the casting that has the orientation stamped on it. Will post pictures later when I have grabbed a light unit. One other ...

The Green Machine - Sprint Car Build

Ok Paul I think the Three Pot Girling calipers are well up to locking up the fronts on a Scimitar, but the drilled and grooved discs do help in keeping everything cool in the short term racing in sprinting, your not exactly doing the 200 miles in F1. Only my observations, but Willwoods are OTT and n...

The Green Machine - Sprint Car Build

Just had another look in better light, it was an optical dillusion that hid the recess on the drum face to make it look flat. Had I seen the picture in a different angle this side track would not have happened, SORRY. Although after stating the last message, the Lockheed system is Far superior to th...

The Green Machine - Sprint Car Build

Size and the Shoes, the 5a Girling drum also has a slight recess on the outside, which is why I noticed. If you pull the drum its obvious weather its Girling, 5a, or Lockheed, 6a, the Girling has an alloy piston with the handbrake lever underneath it operating by pushing the cylinder to equalise the...

I have seen krugers gaskets, they are not from me. If you look at the bottom one, which is lens to body gasket it should have 3 cutouts at the bottom for "breathing" and allow condensation to escape, the ones on ebay don`t have them. Mine worked out at £2 per unit, whereas his are £3.25, and when I ...

I think T & J have closed. The number Steve provided is a management company, and the other registered number is closed. I used to get my stuff from them, but they only had Damaged old stock left, and stripped them out, had the bodies blasted and stove enamelled then glued them back together. I last...

Mark I own the Lucas Factory "Formes" or Dies to everyone else, for stamping the Two gaskets on these light units. I have also a few refurbished bodies, lots of bulb holders with separate earthing tags fitted which keep the lights working even if the body is corroded or not well earthed either. I ha...

My mate has got it into his garage now for a better look.

Can anyone throw any more information at us on this Dog?.
A new fuel pump has not done any good, and the ecu is not winking at all.
I will keep an update as work progresses as my mate is not a member nor a contributor.

Kevin its in the end of the stalk, you can pull off the end and bend the contacts to stop the erratic blowing if you use a blunt instrument.

You can see the join just under the end
